MEATliquor launches new site in partnership with Deliveroo

Great news for fans of quality burgers, MEATliquor has launched a delivery-only site in Battersea in partnership with Deliveroo.

As a result of overwhelming demand, the launch of the new delivery-only service follows the success of MEATliquor’s Canary Wharf offering and a strong partnership between Deliveroo and MEATliquor across all other twelve sites nationwide.

Through the new delivery-only site, customers in Battersea and a number of neighbouring postcodes in the South-West of London can order delicious MEATliquor food through the Deliveroo website from 5.30pm – 11pm on weekdays and 12pm – 11pm at weekends. From Clapham Junction, Sands End, and Walham Green to the edge of Chelsea, Brompton and Fulham, the Battersea site provides MEATliquor fans in those neighbourhoods the chance to enjoy their MEATliquor favourites at home.

Popular dishes for delivery are the iconic MeatWagon original DEAD HIPPIE BURGER™: French’s mustard-fried beef patties, Dead Hippie sauce™, lettuce, cheese, pickles, minced white onions with Dead Hippie Sauce™. Or the BUFFALO WINGS: chicken wings covered in house-made buffalo hot pepper sauce, served with a blue cheese dip.

Scott Collins, MEATliquor Co-Founder and MD says: “MEATliquor was an early adopter of the Deliveroo model in the UK and one of the first ever Deliveroo editions.  Having seen the benefits of the delivery only model, both for us and the wider restaurant category, the move to Battersea was a no brainer as we felt it was something that could easily be replicated for customers living in South-West London where there is clearly demand.”

MEATliquor, started by Yianni Papoutsis and Scott Collins, moved from a burger van - Meatwagon - to the near-legendary #meateasy pop-up which opened for 4 months in New Cross in January 2011.

The first permanent MEATliquor followed swiftly in November 2011 and there are now 13 sites across the UK, including London in W1, Islington, Hoxton, East Dulwich, Brixton, Croydon, Queensway and Covent Garden – as well as sites in Brighton, Bristol and Leeds. It also includes a Deliveroo-only site in Canary Wharf.

The business was named one of ten “ones to watch” in The Sunday Times Fast Track 100 which forecast sales to rise 55% to £17m in 2017. MEATliquor remains privately held by a small group of investors and is plotting further growth under its existing ownership.
